Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki get 2023 US Open wild cards.

The U.S. Open unveiled its eight women's singles wild-card entries Wednesday, including some famous faces. 

Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki will participate in this year's main event, starting Aug. 28.

Williams will make his 24th U.S. Open appearance. She has seven Grand Slams, including two Queens titles in 2000 and 2001. 

Williams, 43, was injured after quitting from the Australian Open in January and missed six months.

She returned in June, played Wimbledon as a wild card

And defeated No. 16 Veronika Kudermetova at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati on Monday, her first top-20 win in four years.

Former world No. 1 Wozniacki will play in the U.S. Open for the first time since retiring at 29 following the 2020 Australian Open. 

She announced her return to tennis in June after touring the world with her husband, former NBA star David Lee, and raising two children.
