The Star Wars: The Ahsoka Tano TV Show Disguises Its Real Hero

Although Ahsoka Tano is the show's eponymous heroine, the true hero is hiding in plain sight. In Star Wars, Ahsoka has had a turbulent past.

Despite no longer being a member of the Jedi Order, she eventually became the personification of a true Jedi. During the Dark Times, she fought alongside fellow Jedi Kanan Jarrus, his Padawan

Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and the other members of the Ghost crew, eventually learning the truth about Vader's presence in a terrible showdown.

All of these occurrences, and more, have lead Ahsoka to where she is in the Ahsoka performance, preparing for one more change.

In the Star Wars Rebels epilogue, Ahsoka Tano is resplendent in a white robe and carries a simple, yet magnificent staff. The depiction is similar to that of "Gandalf the

White" in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, who emerges from his battle with the demonic Balrog as a stronger, more enlightened version of himself.

The same might be said about Ahsoka - the Rebels epilogue takes place after she had fought and survived a battle with Darth Vader,

perhaps her most difficult and emotional duel to date. Creator Dave Filoni acknowledged that Gandalf inspired Ahsoka's character development, but she still needs to play one more part before her Gandalf-like transformation is complete.
