Kevin Costner's estranged wife relocates from the actor's main Santa Barbara home to a smaller house on the $145 million property.


Kevin Costner's estranged wife has moved out of his Santa Barbara home and into a different portion of the huge oceanfront estate after months of infighting in a bitter divorce.

People stated Christine Baumgartner relocated to a smaller residence on the staff quarters property. A judge ordered Baumgartner to vacate the actor's primary home by July 31 and stay in the guest house, according to People.

After Costner's team requested a judge to enforce a condition in their premarital agreement, a Santa Barbara County judge ordered Baumgartner to leave Costner's $145 million compound in Santa Barbara.

According to People, the couple is moving temporarily to keep their three children in the same schools in the autumn. Late last week, Page Six reported U-Haul moving trucks at the Santa Barbara compound.

Baumgartner argued for additional time to move out by citing Santa Barbara's scarce and expensive rental market.Last month, the bitter divorce case saw key verdicts.

Recent court records showed the pair bickering about Baumgartner's pots and pans, while Costner's lawyers claimed Baumgartner plotted her escape with pricey purchases, illustrating how petty the feud has grown. 

Baumgartner divorced in May, contesting their premarital agreement. In July, a judge ordered Costner to pay her almost $130,000 in monthly child support until the divorce is finalized.

Her lawyers initially requested $248,000 in child support, then $217,300. In documents that revealed Costner's finances, they referenced their children's luxury lifestyle and Costner's $19.5 million last year.Costner wants joint child custody. Baumgartner and Costner's attorneys didn't respond.
