Former All-SEC kicker is released by the Minnesota Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings signed former Georgia All-SEC kicker Jack Podlesny on Thursday. 

Minnesota released Podlesny, a two-time UGA national champion, on Thursday. 

Podlesny and former FAU kicker Greg Joseph competed for the role.

 After helping Georgia win two national titles against Alabama in 2021 and TCU in 2022

Podlesny hit 61 of 74 field goals (82.4%). He made first-team All-SEC in 2022 after going 2 of 31 and 73 of 74 extra points.

On Thursday, Podlesny, who finished his collegiate career at UGA with two national titles to his name.

After the 2023 NFL draft, he became a free agent and joined with the Vikings as an undrafted player.

Podlesny was successful in 61 of 74 tries to kick field goals, which is an 82.4 percent success rate.
