According to reports, Dalvin Cook will sign the largest free-agent RB contract of 2023 with an AFC playoff contender.

The Jets have given rookie quarterback Aaron Rodgers yet another weapon.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero on Monday evening, New York has signed running back Dalvin Cook to a one-year contract.

According to Pelissero, the contract may be worth up to $8.5 million, which would be the highest compensation for a free-agent running back this offseason.

Cook, 28, was released by the Vikings on June 9th, after six seasons with the team.

With Minnesota, he ran for 5,993 yards, third most in franchise history behind Adrian Peterson and Robert Smith.

Cook carried for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022 for the Vikings, who won the NFC North by four games.

He was chosen to his fourth straight Pro Bowl, although he only gained 60 yards in Minnesota's NFC wild-card loss to the Giants.

The Jets will kick off their season against the Bills on September 11.
