Aaron Rodgers says he 'tweaked' his calf during Jets practice and sits out team drills.

Last month, the Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers experienced a minor setback Tuesday in offseason practice.

The 39-year-old tweaked his calf. "I just tweaked my calf in the little pre-practice conditioning," Rodgers told reporters Tuesday after practice, via SNY.

"Take it day-by-day." Rodgers said the injury was mild. "I don't think it's too serious," he told ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Jets voluntary OTAs began Tuesday. It was the first media-accessible offseason practice.

Rodgers skipped the Packers' offseason program in his last years. Since joining a new squad, Rodgers appears to be getting to know his teammates.

After injuring his calf, Rodgers stayed on the field but did not participate in team drills. Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle played quarterback.

In a poor Packers season, Rodgers had a thumb injury.

The Jets may be cautious with Rodgers this offseason.
