A $1 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Massachusetts, bringing the prize to $1.25 billion.

The Mega Millions jackpot has risen to a stunning $1.25 billion, but someone in Massachusetts is waking up to life-changing money.

Mega Millions jackpot increases to $1.25 billion.The winning numbers for the $1.1 billion grand prize on Tuesday night were 8-24-30-45-61, with the Megaball being 12. The multiplier was set at 4X.

No one in America won the jackpot, but a winning ticket worth $1 million was sold locally.

A spokeswoman for the Massachusetts Lottery confirmed that the ticket was sold to someone at Fiori's Gulf, located at 740 Chief Justice Cushing Highway in Cohasset.

Friday's payout could vault into the top three in Mega Millions history, topping a $1.337 billion ticket won in Illinois in July 2022.

To win the prize, players must match all five white balls plus the Megaball.

Tickets are available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. They're $2 each.
